From a very young age, I had a deep knowing about people; an underlying truth would be revealed to me which made me aware that their genuine feelings were not in alignment with their words or behavior. I would intentionally offer kindness and comfort or keep loving thoughts in my heart and a door would magically open to communication and true connection – it was as if a wall came tumbling down to revealing the person’s authentic inner self. My own senses would expand after seeing and speaking to someone from this beautifully connected level. People would comment, “How do you know that?” Or, “I don’t know why I’m telling you this, you’re so young…” Although I was indeed young, I understood that something would happen in these exchanges; that a Divine gift was being revealed to me which needed to be honored and respected.
I was given visions and intuitions and I thought this was all very normal and what everyone experienced. I developed a deep desire to understand these gifts further. I sought every book I could find on anything to do with spirituality and Truth to confirm what resonated in my heart and soul.
Raised as a Catholic, my mother was very concerned with my notions of reincarnation and Eastern Mysticism. She invited our family priest, Father Nick, to advise me and console her. Father Nick opened the door of release for me when he said, “Laura, religion is manmade. If you want to go directly to God, then go for it!” I realized through his words that the freedom to seek my own Truth – who I was and what I was here to do – was granted.
I sought the teachings and writings of The Dalai Lama, Deepak Choprah, Thich Nhat Hanh, Joseph Campbell, Rumi, Hafiz and others. The undeniable truth of Divine Love spoke to me from every page. When I began to meditate, I found myself connecting to the greatest teacher of all–the Higher Self and the Universal Truth that WE are what we are seeking. I began to receive spiritual visions and information which would then be confirmed through the reading of these great teachers. Opening my heart to this knowledge was a total revelation – an epiphany – and has given me the intuitive gifts to assist others in finding new ground and clarity, which is now my life’s work. I am blessed to share these gifts with those around the globe.
