Workshop: “Transformation Through the Chakras”
SUNDAY, MARCH 24th, 2013 from 9am to 1pm
YOGA ROOTS STUDIO, SHELBURNE, VT
$75 per person
Please join us for a transformational journey through the 7 energy centers in our body called the chakras. Initially we will join Heidi Bock in connecting to each chakra through a series of ancient yoga asanas. After a short break and light snack, we will dive more deeply in to each center through guided meditation with Laura Lomas. This process will be clearing and energizing each chakra, which releases blockages on the physical, emotional and spiritual level and allows us to connect purely with our own inner truth. This profoundly transformational work results in a new found clarity, sense of vibrancy, light and freedom for each participant. We will have another short break and Heidi will finish the workshop with some restorative yoga postures.
Due to the nature of this practice, it is important that each participant be familiar with meditation on a basic level. Please bring a journal and writing utensil. This is a very popular workshop and space is limited, so please sign up early! We look forward to seeing you there! Namaste!
“Seeds of a New Earth” Upcoming Retreat: “Spiritual Activism and Peacebuilding”
JULY 12 – 15 , 2013
GALENA RETREAT HOUSE, GALENA, ILLINOIS
with guest speaker Philip Hellmich, author of God and Conflict and Director of Peace at The Shift Network
Please join me for this remarkable weekend retreat, along with Philip Hellmich and the Stewards of Seeds of a New Earth, to energetically clear out our inner houses so we can be clear vessels of reflection and connection to ourselves, each other and the world. Let us BE our Truth, so we can DO the crucial work needed for the planet.
In this weekend retreat we will explore the balance between doing and being in spiritual activism and peacebuilding. Philip Hellmich will share insights from God and Conflict: A Search for Peace in a Time of Crisis – #1 bestselling book in Amazon’s: War and Peace category. Some of the topics will include: the relationship between inner and outer peace, conflict as a natural part of life and spiritual path, the role of a sacred container in spiritual activism and the emergence of the divine feminine in peacebuilding. There will be long periods of meditation and dialogue, together with interactive exercises for cultivating peace in daily life. Philip recognizes we are all co-mentors as together we learn to dance the “Do Be Do Be Do”!
Philip M. Hellmich is Director of Peace at The Shift Network and director of The Summer of Peace. Philip has dedicated most of his life to global and local peacebuilding initiatives, including 14 years with Search for Common Ground. He also served for four years as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Sierra Leone where he lived and worked in small remote bush villages. A published writer, Philip is author of God and Conflict: A Search for Peace in a Time of Crisis with a Foreword by Lama Surya Das. He serves as adviser to The Global Peace Initiative of Women. A long-time meditation practitioner, Philip enjoys studying and teaching about the parallels between inner and outer peace.
